​​Day 1: Your specialised tutor will start the day off with a 'Back To Basics' theory & demonstration. Covering skin care & preparation as before you apply any products a knowledgable artist must understand that the skin is just as important as makeup itself. This is because the skin is the natural pallet for any make-up applied to shine through with the best effect. You will talk through the importance of hygiene and kit safety. Brush knowledge and application. You will be shown and guided through a skin colour chart and the difference in ethnic pigmentation, coverage, undertone colouring, and the tricks of corrective colour camouflage to disguise any discolouring or dark areas with colour mixing techniques. Students will be shown the best products to use for cleansing, toning and base primers needed to create either matt or dewy skin. You will be taught how to sculpt and shade in order to emphasise or hide certain facial features and sculpt brows as defined yet natural according to the overall look.

 

A step by step practical guidance and demonstrations of how to create the glamorous smokey eye influenced makeup: You will learn detailed application techniques of glamour style make up with the help of a makeup artist with extensive glamour make up industry experience. Also covering the popular smokey eye & arabic influenced styles created using different techniques including cream shadows, pigments, black track and the art of blending according to specific brushes



Day 2: This creative day will be spent focusing on everything CREATIVE! Students will learn how to work with different textures and forms to create colour intensity. Fashion or Avant Garde make-up can consist of preparation from head to toe. Working with substance to master the art of blocking eyebrows for highly sought after editorial looks. Student's will learn how to apply make-up on the hands and body. Students will often be invited onto the set for feature films, and we will prepare them during this creative day on how to create cuts and bruises. Further more student's will be given an insight into what really goes on backstage and what goes in to creating a catwalk show while the tutor goes through current trends in fashion with you for inspiration, while learning about the affects of photography and lighting on your make-up. Building on earlier course knowledge on working with pigments, we will demonstrate the application of face jewels, feathers and adornments for student's to create their own unique ideas and styles with guidance from our tutors.  Student's will be given an introduction to working with body paint and learning the fundamental techniques needed to create 2D and 3D illusions.

Day 3:This day is dedicated to the highly sought after BRIDAL looks.The day is spent learning colour co-ordination, make-up looks, brush techniques, jewellery setting and veil/dupatta pinning. Student's will cover the colour palette difference between a soft registry look and a traditional ethnic African/Asian/Arabic influenced bride. We will cover Glitters: This covers glitters and their application techniques while working with textures and high colour pigments in order to create vibrant impact.

Day 4: Your teaching day will consist of both theory and practical teaching techniques. You will focus on how to create the some of the most stunning yet versatile bridal and fashion hair styles that are often in demand. This course will explore the importance of presentation when you are in the presence of a client, which includes hygiene and professionalism. Also how to approach your bridal consultation by understanding the 'bigger picture'' and assesing everything from the dress to the make-up, in order to ensure you hair style will fit in with the overall look perfectly. Learning how to perfect the best blow drying techniques, work with extensions, hair pieces, building mass, volume, texture & height, adding hair adornments, flowers and jewellery. These styles are suitable for the popular Walima ceremony, Arabic influence, Traditional bride & Registry bride. During this course you will learn a large variety of tips and tricks that will enhance your expertise when working with a bride. Your specialised tutor will go over a wide range of products and advise you on the appropriate uses for each to allow you the ability to achieve your client's desired looks, whether it is an up do or glamours red carpet tousled wave.

Building on the versatile bridal up do's learn the art of working with hair extensions to create volume, height and length. We will explore the next steps after mastering the perfect blow dry like working with heated rollers to create volume, and being able to differentiate between romantic, period, glamorous, or fashion up do's and styles. We will cover  the best ways to create the perfect ponytails, French pleat and Fishtail. 
 

Finally student's will learn Avant Garde and Fashion forward editorial hair styling. Finger waves, Beehives, French Pleats, Fish Tails and Forward Rolls. Preparing hair for creating structure, from classic to contemporary. Styling, dressing and finishing techniques. Creating a Beauty look, Creating a Red Carpet look, Creating two looks: For a couture catwalk show, and an editorial photo shoot.

Student's will learn 6 hair styling looks in total throughout this course.


Day 5: Portfolio day! The day is dedicated to you and what you have learnt throughout the week. Create up to 2 looks with a professional model, stylist on hand to advise you on wardrobe and accessories, and our professional photographer to finalise your amazing looks. Each student will receive a CD with their images plus 2 complimentary airbrushed images.
