This 3 day course is suitable across the stylist spectrum, for not only the ambitious beginner but also the insightful intermediate. The Academy does not require any entry requirements, as we are hear to help shape and mould you into qualified hair stylists & professionals in your own right! This course is also a great addition for student's that have participated in our Make-up Specialist courses. We are also able to create a unique timetable for student's wishing to partake in a combination of both courses, as it would allow you to be a well rounded and equipped freelance hair & make-up artist. This course is perfect for a make-up artist wishing to broaden their services and be accredited and booked continuously for being multi-talented. 





























































​Throughout the course you will be taught by some of the fashion industry's biggest and valued veterans. The artists who teach this course work major national and international fashion shows & shoots in London & over seas. They have also been published in various national and international magazine publications. 



Your tutor will give you a thorough insight into working on bridal clients, backstage on shows and photoshoots, as well as teach you the most up to date looks and styles by referring to current fashion and beauty campaigns. This course will teach you classic simple hairstyles, intricate bridal buns, techniques needed to work with extensions and hair adornments, and also how to create innovative avant-garde styles.

 

The Academy introduces students to a wide spectrum of products for their kits from affordable high street products to luxury recognised professional hair styling products and tools. Including GHD, Vidal Sasson, Loreal and John Frieda to name a few. 



Day 1: Your teaching day will consist of both theory and practical teaching techniques. You will focus on how to create the some of the most stunning yet versatile bridal hair styles that are often in demand. This course will explore the importance of presentation when you are in the presence of a client, which includes hygiene and professionalism. Also how to approach your bridal consultation by understanding the 'bigger picture'' and assesing everything from the dress to the make-up, in order to ensure you hair style will fit in with the overall look perfectly.  You will touch on the art of client consultation and learn the 'Language'  & correct etiquette when discussing desired looks with your client. Whether it is a private bridal client, or an industry job for a magazine/show. Before any styles are discussed you will learn how to select the correct hair products for different types of hair colours/textures/lengths. And the different purposes of each hair tool, electronically heated tools, variation of brushes and their purpose. Students are taught the most suitable and appropriate insider techniques needed when using their selected tools. 

Learning how to perfect the best blow drying techniques, work with extensions, hair pieces, building mass, volume, texture & height, adding hair adornments, flowers and jewellery. These styles are suitable for the popular Walima ceremony, Arabic influence, Traditional bride & Registry bride. During this course you will learn a large variety of tips and tricks that will enhance your expertise when working with a bride. Your specialised tutor will go over a wide range of products and advise you on the appropriate uses for each to allow you the ability to achieve your client's desired looks, whether it is an up do or glamours red carpet tousled wave.

 

Day 2: Building from the first day of versatile bridal up do's learn the art of working with hair extensions to create volume, height and length. We will explore the next steps after mastering the perfect blow dry like working with heated rollers to create volume, and being able to differentiate between romantic, period, glamorous, or fashion up do's and styles. We will cover  the best ways to create the perfect ponytails, French pleat and Fishtail.  

 

 

Day 3: Avant Garde and Fashion forward editorial hair styling. Finger waves, Beehives, French Pleats, Fish Tails and Forward Rolls. Preparing hair for creating structure, from classic to contemporary. Styling, dressing and finishing techniques. Creating a Beauty look, Creating a Red Carpet look, Creating two looks: For a couture catwalk show, and an editorial photo shoot.
